Saif Goleudy Whitford Point ar ben gogledd-orllewinol Gŵyr, yn Ne Cymru. Dyma’r unig oleudy haearn bwrw sydd wedi’i ysgubo gan donnau yn y DU. Adeiladwyd y goleudy ym 1865 i nodi’r heigiau oddi ar Drwyn Chwitffordd yn Aber Afon Tywyn, NPRN 34289 https://coflein.gov.uk/cy/safle/34289/
Mae gwaelod y goleudy hefyd yn dioddef o erydiad gan y môr ac yn cael ei danseilio. Cofnodwyd y goleudy gan CBHC ar 17/08/2023 i gasglu gwybodaeth sylfaenol i ddeall cyfradd yr erydiad.
Whitford Point Lighthouse stands on the north-west tip of the Gower, in South Wales. It is the only surviving cast-iron wave-swept lighthouse in the UK. The lighthouse was built in 1865 to mark the shoals off Whiteford Point in the Burry Estuary, NPRN 34289 https://coflein.gov.uk/en/site/34289/
The base of the lighthouse is also suffering from erosion by the sea and is being undermined. The lighthouse was recorded by the RCAHMW on 17/08/2023 to gather baseline information to understand the rate of erosion.
