Gornergletscher Contact Cave DTM 3D Model

3D Model

The Gornergletscher is located in the canton of Vallais (Switzerland) on the west side of the Mount Rosa massif. This 3D model was realized with drone photogrammetry on the external areas, the cave was 3D mapped with photogrammetry using the Elios 2 by the Swiss company Flyability (https://www.flyability.com/) and with a mobile mapping LIDAR (the Leica BLK2GO) in August 2021 as part of a research expedition organized by the Insidetheglaciers Project (https://insidetheglaciers.wordpress.com/) with the collaboration of Miles Beyond (https://milesbeyond.it/en/extreme-locations-logistics-and-training/) and supported by the Italian association La Venta Esplorazioni Geografiche (www.laventa.it)
