“Gothic” Longsword

Such hilt with so many intricate parts is probably a modern thing, though we do see rapier grips with metal bars inlaid in the center in the 17th century. However the other metal parts at each side and center of the grip are not found on swords of the period. We rarely see so many visual details and different visual languages on sword grips, and they look gorgeous–thats what it matters the most!
