More model informationA Structure-from-Motion model of a monumental Norse carved stone grave marker, known as a “hogback”. This example is currently located in Govan Old Parish Church, near Glasgow. They date to the ninth to eleventh centuries AD and are so-named as their curving profiles look like the slope of a wild boar’s back, although they are generally thought to represent Viking houses, decorated with shingles on either side. Hogbacks are found across Scotland and in the north of England, where the design is thought to have originated.
The ends of this particular hogback appear to show two beasts gripping the sides of the house, although these are quite worn.
This is a low resolution, decimated version of the mesh.
