Egyptian stela from the Graeco-Roman period excavated at the site of Abydos by John Garstang in 1907.
The round-topped stela shows a fusion of Greek and Egyptian artistic forms, with the central figure of the deceased dressed in the typically classical draping fabric, while the Egyptian gods (Osiris left, Anubis centre, Isis right) retain their Egyptian features and clothing. An offering table is seen between the figures of Osiris and Anubis.
