The Grand High Witch of All the World, Eva Ernst, is the main antagonist in the 1990 movie “The Witches” (from the 1983 novel “The Witches” by Roald Dahl), played by Anjelica Huston. The character’s monstrous version was prepared by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop. The prosthetics for Miss Ernst’s transformation to The Grand High Witch were extensive. The various features—contact lenses, full facial mask, hump, withered collarbone, and hands—took over six hours to apply and almost as much time to remove at the end of the day. This 3D fan-art version was modeled, sculpted and vertex-painted in Blender 2.93.5.
