Grave of Malik al-Zahir at Samudera-Pasai

This monument (IND-ACH-AUT-SMD-S-021-F-0002) marks the grave of Malik al-Zahir, d. 1326 ). He was the second sultan of Pasai, centered near the present-day city of Lhokseumawe in Aceh, Indonesia. This unique granite grave marker is in a style markedly different from the present gravestone marking his predecessor, Malik al-Salih (d. 1297), in the same cemetery.
