More model informationThis sandstone fragment is carved on both faces with the remains of a cross on one side and a four-legged creature on the other. To the left of the beast are the stump of a tree and a seed pod. The carving on both faces suggests that this stone was reused – it may originally have been designed as a grave slab with a decorative cross, and then later carved with the scene on the reverse. It is also possible both faces are contemporary and form one composite monument.
