Green Man Carving

This carving of the ‘green man’ is located within the ruins of St Thomas a Becket, Heptonstall. The Church was originally founded in 1260 and features a classical gothic design, and the ruins are still spectacular today. The ruins of the church are Grade II * listed.

The carving shows facial features and vegetation still visible despite the heavy erosion due to exposure to rain for several centuries.
