Phenotyping the morphology of the green tortoise beetle Cassida viridis in order to understand evolution

In this project, we investigate divergence, local adaptation and how the rate of microevolution is affected by environmental factors in wild populations of the green tortoise beetle. The 3D-scan enable us to measure various morphological traits. By estimating the phenotypic variation and covariation between traits, we can investigate how and why populations differ in their ability to adapt to environmental changes.
