Grim lords of night are shrouded in mystery. The only concrete fact is they are undead, but how they come to be is unknown. Often mistaken for a grim reaper, they are both less and more powerful depending on their age. Some say they come from vampires who have not fed and realized their unnatural life comes not from blood but from dark magic animating their very bones. However they come to be, they tend to surround themselves with various undead creatures and grow in power as they age. They can easily be identified by glowing runes etched into their bones.
