This vehicle is based on a piece of concept art made by Joe Sutton for the video game “GRIP”, developed by Caged Element.

I started this project for a bit of practice, and I definitely got a lot of that by the time I was done. I haven’t been modeling for very long, so this certainly has some rough edges that need smoothing out, figuratively and literally. I think the biggest problem is how inefficient it is - there’s a lot of wasted geometry, mainly because I haven’t yet learned how to texture properly, so I just assigned colors to parts of the mesh using Blender’s material system. But still, I’m quite happy with how it came out in the end, and I learned much more than I thought I would while putting it together. I plan on revisiting this model once I get the hang of UV unwrapping and texturing.
