The grivet is an Old World monkey with long white tufts of hair along the sides of its face. It lives in Ethiopia, Sudan, Djibouti, and Eritrea. The average head and body length is about 45 cm, with males larger than females. The length of the tail for males is about 30–50 cm. It inhabits savannah woodlands where it lives around a source of water, especially during the dry season. It feeds on fruits, vegetables, and sometimes small mammals, insects, and birds.
