More model informationThis is one of two examples of double-headed, iron bar shot found underwater on the site of a shipwreck believed to be the Havana-based pirate-slaver Guerrero, sunk near Key Largo in 1827. The piece is covered with calcium carbonate concretion and marine life. This particular type of shot is known in Spanish as a palanqueta. Model created June, 2019. Scale = 10 centimeters.
