Materials: Calabash gourd, colored glass beads, string, and metal bell.

Calabash gourd with mesh of colored glass beads strung on the outside of the calabash; metal bell hangs from a string looped through the base of the gourd handle. Haitian Vodou ritual rattle used to conduct ceremonies and call the Lwa (spirits) into ceremony.
