Luxor Temple, Hall of Offerings, East Wall Circa C.1930

This model blends archival photographs taken by French Egyptologist Alexandre Moret with more recent documentation by the Epigraphic Survey to create a 3D model of the East Wall of the Hall of Offerings in Luxor Temple circa 1930.

This hybrid experiment was undertaken during the 2019/20 season by photographer Owen Murray, with the help of archivists Alain & Emmanuelle Arnaudiès and the archives of the Collège de France

Built in Agisoft Metashape, the model combines 27 B&W film negatives taken by A. Moret between 1914-1937 with 167 digital photographs taken by @ommphoto in 2018.
