To create this high-quality 3D model, both the interior and exterior of this bright orange pumpkin were scanned with two different 3D scanners. Eva was used to scan the exterior of the pumpkin and the carvings, with sharp edges captured with Space Spider https://www.artec3d.com/portable-3d-scanners/artec-spider to show them in minute detail. In order to capture the interior of the pumpkin, it had to be cut in half. The 3D scans of the interior were then merged with the exterior ones using the overlapping geometry and texture captured during the first scan, when the pumpkin was whole.
