More model informationHandmade pottery cup during an experimental archeology workshop at the International Workamp Archeology in Garraf 2019.
The clay was obtained in the sorroundings of the Can Sadurní cave, it was sifted and later non-plastic inclusions such as quartz, flint, grog, sand and small branches were added. After that, we added water to the clay mix and every workamp participant modelled their own pottery shape, obtaining very original pieces and containers, like all kind of cups and glasses, ashers, bell beakers and little sculptures. We baked the potteries days later (when the clay was a little bit dry) in a handmade kiln too, and after one night inside it, we obtained our final pottery like this cup.
