So this was an attempt at following a video tutorial by Marc Brunet on the “Ultimate Career Guide 3D Artist” in reference to the hand painted segment of the tutorial. While the character in the video was mostly a cool colored character (mix of purple, cyan, blue, and the like), I wanted to try to vary it a bit and change the color to something more “green-yellow” with “orange” for some other bits like the hair (I guess these are considered “warm” colors).
While this process took me about more than 7 months (with a mix of work, everyday chores, and procrastination), I had fun with the process, and hopefully it helped me better understand the workflow in order to make the characters / models faster.
After this, I intend to study the next step of the tutorial focusing around the PBR workflow (although, I might side track and attempt another character, or if time permits it, to do both).
