Hawaii Plantation Village's Hale Noa

The 11th and 12th grade students of the 2015-2016 Historical Preservation course at Mid-Pacific Institute used a Faro laser scanner to digitally preserve a mid-1800s-style plantation home. The home, the Hale Noa, at the Hawaii Plantation Village, was identified by the students in the class as culturally significant and in need of historical preservation because it was used to house the first plantation workers in the islands. It shows the transition from Hawaiian style to Western style dwellings.
