Heidentempel - Top Level - Inscriptions

The famous “Heidentempel” (Temple of the Pagans) is located in Western Styria / Austria, near the town of Köflach. Its a big giant cave labyrinth with several levels.

Here you see one of the inscription areas on the wall at the top plateau. (Model here: https://sketchfab.com/models/bdf76083ddf14e1793076428eb366619) Old and new inscriptions are mixed and make it hard to decode anything useful.

The cave was used in pre-historic times and maybe roman times as a cult cave. Unfortunatley christians destroyed many of the roman decorations. The few remnansts were knocked off by fanatics some 50 years ago.
