This 3D model is the result of an epic scanning project using the might of two Luxembourgish companies: Luxembourg Air Rescue and Artec 3D, featuring Artec Ray and Artec Leo. And you can see the results for yourself: a massive aircraft captured in magnificent 3D, from rotor blades to landing skid. Highly accurate data from Ray, obtained in only 2 hours, was used as reference for alignment and registration, and then combined with smart Leo scans to make a complete 3D model. The accuracy of this wireless device, demonstrated in the 8 hours of scanning, resulted in clean, high-resolution data. Leo’s breakthrough technology such as hybrid geometry and texture tracking made every part of the helicopter fully presented in the model, with no detail or a shiny surface left out. Go ahead and explore the cockpit or cabin, and then move on to the sharper edges of the rudder, tail rotor, and stabilizer.
