More model informationThe helmet was found in 1925 in the village Mokre in Volhynia (former east Poland, now Ukraina). It was probably the amateurish excavations. This place was excavate again in the June in 1925 by prof. Stanisław Wilczyński. Then discovered a human skeleton with arrowheads and spearhead (20 cm long) with a fragment of the shaft. Materials from the excavations took over Grzegorz Zdanowicz the director of Gymnasium in Dubno. Director gave the helmet to the State Archaeological Museum in Warsaw in 1932. It is not known what happened with other finds. Zdanowicz gave to the Museum another two spindle whorls found in the village Mokre, but it is not known from which site, maybe from this same grave?
