Hemispheric rein guide (NHMW-Prae 81.262)3D Model
3D scan of a hemispheric rein guide made of gilded bronze from Hauskirchen grave 13. This was part of a set of fittings, which together with leather straps formed harnesses and bridles for two horses. This grave of a 25- to 30-year-old woman is one of the richest burials of the Migration Era known in the Middle Danube Region.
The hemispherical rein guide can be found in Hall 13 of the Natural History Museum Vienna.
