More model informationThe 87 ft. Brig or Brigantine Henry Clay was built in 1842 in Huron, Ohio. Not much more is recorded in the pages of history other than it was forced ashore on or near Bois Blanc Island, Lake Huron. Dec. 7, 1850, presumedly in a storm. The crew and passengers were rescued. What remains is just a seventy-foot portion of the bottom of the ship and parts of the sides – all partially buried in sand. The site is buoyed for kayakers, snorkelers, and divers by the Straits Shipwreck Preserve. The model was created from 758 30-megapixel images shot by Andrew Goodman on a fifteen-minute DPV dive in the 2024 season.
