The 260 ft wooden bulk freighter Henry j. Johnson was built in 1888 and regularly towed several different barges including B.F. BRUCE; HELVETIA, MINNEHAHA and later CONSTITUTION. In 1902 while hauling iron ore from Escanaba it was in a collision in dense fog with steamer FRED PABST, off Hammond Bay, Lake Huron east of the Straits. The crew were rescued by tug PARKER. Today it is an interesting but lesser dived dive site in 160 ft of water. The model was created from 3,329 30-megapixel images shot by Andrew Goodman on two DPV dives.
