More model informationThe 122 ft sidewheel steamer Hercules was built in 1856 at Garden Island, ON. It was used as a towboat and burned along with the Highlander in 1871 during layup, sinking in shallow water off Garden Island. It is now a dive and snorkeling site in the Kingston, ON area. The model was created from 1,271 images which were a mix of 30 megapixel still images and frame captures from 4k video. The images were shot by Matthew Charlesworth and Ken Merryman in the 2022 season.
