Draft of the seated figure of the German physician and physicist Hermann von Helmholtz. The figure was planted on the Potsdamer Brücke in Berlin. In 1942, the bronze figure was melted down. Helmholtz is depicted with some books which show him as a author of scientific works.
Part of the sculpture collection at the city museum of Berlin, Germany. The collection consists of 3.000 objects of which a third are portrait busts of famous Berlin artists, scholars, politicians and rulers.
