It was found to the south of the Athenian Acropolis. The statue presumably adorned a luxury residence. The Maenad is asleep, lying on a panther skin spread on a rocky surface. The type is known as the reclining Hermaphrodite. The work expresses the Classicising trend of an Attic workshop. Length 1,36 m.
