An incomplete copper alloy pot leg, dating from the Medieval to Post Medieval period, circa AD 1100-1800.
The object consists of the pot leg and a fragment of the cooking pot it was supporting. The leg is trapezoidal in shape. It is trapezoidal in cross-section, with the inner face smaller than the outer. There is no decoration present, but the outer surface of the foot is slightly concave in the centre and curves towards the inner at the bottom. The fragment of the cooking pot projects upwards and outwards 10.6mm from the leg. The inner surface is of the pot is curved and has a smooth and dark surface patina. The leg itself has an uneven surface patina which is darker at the top, and is somewhat rough in surface texture. It is difficult to precisely date this pot leg, as there are no decorative features such as grooves or ridges.
