Hexham Abbey has some fantastic gargoyles, and this is one of my favourites. Situated on Prior Leschman’s tomb, the 15th Century gargoyle is surrounded by many others, depicting everything from sheep-stealing to a jester and even a fox preaching to geese - possibly a subversive criticism of his fellow clergymen. It suggests that Prior Leschman had a decent sense of humour… Hexham Abbey is situated in Hexham in Northumberland, UK. Begun in the 7th Century it is one of the earliest seats of Christianity in England. The model was created by ExplorAR.
