Metallinen musteenkuivaaja 1900-luvun alusta. Kuivaaja oli tärkeä toimistotarvike, kun asiakirjoja kirjoitettiin käsin mustekynällä. Lopuksi kirjoitettua tekstiä painettiin musteenkuivaajalla. Musteenkuivaajan alapintaan oli kiinnitetty imukykyistä paperia tai kangasta. Ylimääräinen muste imeytyi kuivaajaan, kirjoitettu teksti kuivui nopeammin, eivätkä paperit sotkeentuneet osuessaan toisiinsa.

Metallic Ink dryer form the beginning of 20th Century. It was an important office tool when documents were handwritten with ink. After writing, the ink was dryed with an ink dryer. Absorbent paper or cloth was attached to the bottom of the dryer. Excessive ink would be absorbed by the dryer, text would dry faster and papers would not get stuck on each other.
