More model informationModel of the firing floor of a Late Hellenistic kiln identified by magnetometrical survey and uncovered during excavations on the Plateau at the Greek and Roman site of Histria, on the Romanian Black Sea coast. The upper walls of the kiln have mostly collapsed, and the combustion chamber beneath the floor has not yet been excavated. The model shows the vent holes in the floor and the remaining portions of the fired mudbrick walls around the firing chamber.
