3D digital model of the HMS Buffalo shipwreck. HMS Buffalo, a British transport ship, was wrecked on Buffalo Beach, Whitianga, New Zealand in 1840. The HMS Buffalo Re-examination Project (https://mercurybaymuseum.co.nz/hms-buffalo-project/) surveyed and recorded the shipwreck in March 2021 and the model was processed in association with New Zealand Geographic and Live Ocean Foundation. The HMS Buffalo Project was supported by the Australasian Institute for Maritime Archaeology, The Informer, Dive Zone Whitianga, Whitianga Ferry, New World Whitianga, Global Dive, The French Fig Café, Café Coghill House, W. Gumbley Archaeologists Ltd, Subsurface Archaeological Services Ltd, Adam Collier North Real Estate, Mercury Bay Area School, Whenuakite School and many volunteers.
