More model informationOne of the derelict vessels belonging to what is now known as the Nansemond Ghost Fleet. Hobbs Wreck is named for Kermit Hobbs, the Virginia local who first drew the archaeologist’s attention to the fleet. Hobbs Wreck is believed to be that of a ‘bugeye’; a commercial oystering vessel, schooner rigged and equipped with a centerboard, active sometime between the late 19th and early 20th century.
