The Ghazanchetsots Church is located in Shushi, It was built in the beginning of the 19th century and completed in 1887. The temple is mentioned in Mesrop Takhidian’s book “Travel to Armenia” of 1820. According to Shahen Mkrtchyan, the bell tower was built earlier than the church, and another church of the 18th century was put in the place of the temple. The temple is in the center of the city. It is similar to the Echmiadzin Cathedral. It has three identical entrances, from the west, from the north and the south. There are numerous records dedicated to the library of the church. After the massacres of Shushi, in 1920, the temple ceased to function.
