Excavation investigating the scooped settlement on the eastern side of Dunsapie Fort, Holyrood Park, Edinburgh.

The trench was placed over a suspected roundhouse sitting within a later prehistoric scooped settlement. The trench has revealed the wall of the roundhouse as well as a number of internal post settings and the entrance on the eastern side of the building.

The extension to the trench is investigating the enclosure surrounding the roundhouse and has revealed the entrance formed of a cobbled surface.
