This little project of mine aimed at introducing a new customizable weapon in Fallout 4. The idea would’ve been to take a revolver body and outfit it with a custom barrel to shoot 12ga slugs. Everything was made to fit into the “homemade” and post-apocalyptic design in mind, from the oil filter suppressor to the crutch stock or the aluminium can muzzle brake.
This was my first project on Substance Painter. I’m pretty happy with the result on IRay. Problem is I still have trouble rendering correctly in another engine, like Mental Ray. Any tips and advices will be welcome. Since I have no experience on Fallout 4 creation kit (only used FO3’s and FNV’s), it is unlikely this weapon will be included in the game. I mostly made this for fun and to try Substance.
