Notes: RLA catalog no. 1979rp45 (cast). Skull discovered in 1933 as an isolated find in a gravel quarry near Steinheim, Germany, and subsequently excavated by Fritz Berckhemer and Max Bock. Formerly classified as Homo steinheimensis. Cast made by the University Museum of the University of Pennsylvania.
