This artifact is a Hook and Chain, The Hook and Chain is a chain with a sharp, looped hook at the end. The Hook and Chain is made of metal and has chains that look more like 8 loops. The Hook and Chain was most likely used for fishing or hunting and could possibly could have been used for skinning. The Hook and Chain could be meaningful to the owner because it could have been passed down between generations, or, it could have been used for something like a hobby, that someone took a lot of time in making. The Hook and Chain demonstrates the Human Effect on the Environment because of the use of metal on the Earth. It could also demonstrate childhood versus adulthood because Children possibly wouldn’t be able mess around with sharp hooks.
