More model informationA frieze featuring 2 horned, winged lions from the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford. It sits high up on an east-facing wall near the main entrance. The present museum building was built 1841–45 during early Victorian times. The horned, winged lions are based on the image found in Assyrian and Achaemenid (Persian) art.
