Often confused with being the Grand Canyon, Horseshoe Bend of the Colorado River is in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, near Page, Arizona. This iconic photo location is about halfway between the Glen Canyon Dam which was built in 1963 to create Lake Powell, and Lee’s Ferry, the beginning of the Grand Canyon at river mile zero. -Nate Loper
