Last month I came across Sketchfab’s (Unofficial) Household Props Challenge, which consisted of creating one low poly prop (300tris / 256x256 texture limit) for each day in the month of April. More info can be found here: https://blog.sketchfab.com/improve-your-low-poly-modeling-skills-with-the-30-day-household-props-challenge/
Instead of textures, I’ve instead utilized vertex colors, which ended up being quite time saving and flexible! Every asset seen here is either 300tris or below. The wireframe breakdown of most of these assets can be found in my Polycount Sketchbook thread: http://polycount.com/discussion/comment/2624276/#Comment_2624276
What started as a fun challenge evolved into a full project in itself! Not only did I complete all the props in April, I also created a handful of extra assets and incorporated everything into a scene.
