HoverGames RDDRONE-IOT Mount

This bracket was designed for the KIT-HGDRONEK66, which is based on the LJI X4 500 quadcopter frame. It was built as part of the Guardian Angel submission for the HoverGames Challenge 1: Fight Fire with Flyers challenge.

The purpose of this bracket is to allow for the neat mounting of the NXP RDDRONE-IOT board, which in turn holds the NXP Rapid IoT MCU. It is designed to tightly fit onto the drone’s camera rails, at its rear. A key feature of this design is the angling of the Rapid IoT’s screen so that it is more easily viewed. Access to the Rapid IoT’s USB port, and the RDDRONE-IOT UART and Debug ports, have been prioritised.
