- Are you looking to retopologize a sculpt? Follow these steps and you will end up with a model which should be quite effective to rig and animate!
- It starts with what I consider to be structural loops and progresses to a consistent polygon density by the end. The loops of the face are created and highlighted in the order of the rainbow, starting with red, orange, etc, and eventually it restarts. The ears have fewer loops and instead use red to highlight which part is being worked on.
- A note: every studio and every character artist may have their own biases. I did research and experimentation to come up with what you see here, but it isn’t perfect.
