His most ambitious work to date, Pact is Wilson’s first monumental sculpture in bronze. The work continues Wilson’s exploration of the complex ways in which culture generates systems of belief and meaning.
Drawing forms from art history and from a variety of cultural sources including contemporary popular culture, Wilson deliberately manipulates and triggers our shared cultural references. Motifs hover at the edge of recognition and legibility, allowing meaning to become something fluid rather than fixed.
