Sometimes 2D illustrations will not allow you to fully understand spacial relationships of one structure to another. 3D models can be an excellent way to better understand complex anatomy.

The Cerebrum of this model was created by extracting MRI data from an anonymized patient. The Cerebellum was created by 3D Scanning a plastinated specimen from our lab. The Vasculature was created with DICOM data and modeling in ZBrush

  • The 3D model was then cleaned up and detailed in Pixologic ZBrush.

The intended audience for this model are 1st year medical students, physicians, and researches.
