More model informationThis is a perfusion fixed whole human heart that was donated for research. The donor was a 62 year old male with a COD due to cardiac arrest. They had a history of HTN and hypercholesterolemia, and were taking medications for high blood pressure and high cholesterol and had stents in the LAD and RCA.
We partner with LifeSource to receive donated organs deemed not viable for transplant and the University of Minnesota Anatomy Bequest Program to work with organs that were donated for Medical Education and Research.
