Created for the Medical Illustration Department at Royal Bolton NHS Hospital in North England, UK.
To sculpt it I used resources such as The Atlas of Human Cardiac Anatomy created by Paul A. Iaizzo, PhD, FHRS and other academics at the University of Minnesota ( http://www.vhlab.umn.edu/atlas/index.shtml ) and the Sobotta Atlas of Anatomy: Internal Organs 16th Edition by Friedrich Paulsen and Jens Waschke (Eds.) (2018).
I sculpted and textured this model using Z-Brush.
This model is intended as an educational resource and while I have strived to make it as accurate as possible, there will be differences from real cadaver hearts as the human body can display many variations. This model is pending review from qaulified Anatomists and Cardiologists.
I hope you enjoy and find it useful!
