Highly detailed 3D models of human skulls excavated from a burial site in Gornja Brela (Croatia). These models scanned with Artec Eva handheld 3D scanner provide a glimpse into the burial traditions of our ancestors.

The skulls and their 3D scans are currently undergoing anthropological analysis, contributing valuable insights into the lives and practices of past populations of Biokovo mountain.

Excavation of human skulls and 3D scanning were performed within the Ecological Echoes of Biokovo’s Prehistory (EcoEcho) scientific project, founded by the EUCONEXUS.
